South Asian Design at Manchester Art Gallery, UK: 19 May 2017 to 27 May 2018

Delighted to have been selected to feature in The South Asian Design Show at Manchester Art Gallery UK, opening 19 May 2017 until 27 May 2018.

The show will feature my Poetic Reverence Wallpaper Series, commissioned especially for the exhibition. For this collection, architectural structures mainly Indian temples were the source of inspiration. This project explores representing these structures and patterns through drawings, challenging scale, space and perspective creating optical illusion & trompe l’oeil designs within space. The collection includes repeat and bespoke large-scaled site-specific wallpaper designs.

The exhibition, spanning the last three centuries, gives a taste of designs and techniques from this incredibly creative, resourceful and culturally diverse part of the world.
