Awarded the Designers' Guild Plaque for Outstanding Work by the BTS during the annual awards ceremony at Salts Mill.

During the Bradford Textile Society annual awards ceremony I was awarded the British Textile Designers' Guild plaque. This is a very prestigious award for outstanding work in the area of textile design and is typically presented to universities. Past winners include Leeds College of Art, Nottingham Trent University and Loughborough University to name a few. To be awarded such a prestigious award as an individual for my textiles work is a huge compliment. It was a pleasure to attend the awards ceremony, providing a great opportunity to meet all the winners/judges, and to receive my five awards. The Bradford Textile Society competition is nation wide and is thought to be one of the oldest of its kind, around for nearly 90 years. I would like to thank everyone at the Society and the Judges for all the recognition they have shown me and my work. To view the winning work please click here - Design Competition Winners

The first award was received for material construction created by non-conventioanl means. The second award was for innovative combination of textile processes for the interiors market. This recognition is special to me as I am originally from Yorkshire so its great to have my work commended by such an institution.
